Prairie Garden Prose and Poetry...

Art is when we do work that matters in a creative way, in a way that touches people or changes them for the better. -Seth Godin
I read these words, thinking about them. So then, can all of daily life be art? For an art loving soul, this is an inspirational thought. It frees me. I don't have to wait to get past the dailyness before I can start enjoying art time. Every minute of my day can be a form of art. I love this idea.
Welcome to this blog! For a long time I've harbored the idea of starting a blog. I love to write. Did I want to share it with others? Did I have the time? A very good friend once told me, "When the time is right, you will know it." So here it is.
I am so glad you've joined me. My writing journey is random and erratic. Sometimes the words and inspirations closely follow each other. Sometimes my pages lie folded and silent for many days in a row. Daily life pours itself out in between times. Sometimes inspiration calls me to capture it in words and sometimes it calls me to expend myself while just living it.
In the heart of a very rural community in southwest Kansas, my family does life. We love this near dessert country, even when it tries us. Some days we wonder why we are still here and wonder even more why we love it. And yet it is home. Meet us here and listen as I put my pen to the page to tell about it.
Prairie Garden Prose and Poetry... Daily life on the prairie is sometimes prose (a good story told factually). On other days life on the prairie is poetry ( a good story laced with mystery and whimsy).
Have a beautiful day,
Vanessa
